According to the U.S. Department of Labor, Labor Day is a creation of the labor motion and is devoted to the social and financial achievements of American employees. It constitutes a yearly nationwide tribute to the contributions staff have made to the power, prosperity and well-being of our nation. The first Labor Day was celebrated with a parade, speeches and a big celebrationâ€"which is how we still celebrate at present. At National Able Network, Labor Day has a twin that means. We not only have fun American staff, we rejoice all of the one hundred,000 job seekers we serve annually â€" a lot of whom are served via the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA), which Congress handed on July 22, 2014 â€" one hundred twenty years after Labor Day tur ned a nationwide vacation! This is the first legislative reform of the general public workforce system in 15 years! The U.S. Department of Labor, in coordination with the U.S. Departments of Health & Human Services and Education, are working to ensure states, native workforce boards, and different stakeholders are prepared for the implementation of the brand new act. The program’s aim is to assist job seekers entry employment, schooling, training and support services to reach the labor market and to match employers with the skilled staff they need to compete in the world financial system.
